November 4th and 5th, 2000 Texas Renaissance Festival Plantersville, Texas SOCIAL Muster Master - John Hidalgo Phone: 512-835-4024 Email: yodel@texas.net This will be a great time to go out in period clothing and have fun with the public. We will have our own Guy Fawkes on a Stick. Whether we'll get to burn him as per tradition is yet to be seen. We will most likely go out to eat afterwards. Site Facilities The Texas Renaissance Festival is basically a 55 acre theme park with plenty of restroom facilities, food and drink. There are over 300 vendors to shop from. To sum it up, the Texas Renaissance Festival is the largest renaissance festival in the country (if not the world). As far as overnight accomodations go, no plans have yet been made. We may only stay Saturday or we may stay through after the parade on Sunday. We see what the general concesus is amongst those who plan to attend. Orders of the Daye This is basically a play day. We will have flyers on hand if we meet someone who is interested in ECWSA but we're not out doing canvassing. Most likely we will be in the mid-day parade. This will be coordinated with the festival. As we would eventually like to get paid by the festival to participate, let's do our best to make a good show of it. Admission for the Texas Renaissance Festival is just under $20.00. You will want to bring spending money. You will want to drink plenty of fluids the day before as, even though it will be cooling down at that time of year, it is very easy to get dehydrated out there. You may also want to invest in some baby cornstarch to prevent chaffing. (It may sound funny but after 15 years of doing renfaires, trust me on this one.) Schedule We will will be leaving the Austin area early since it takes about three hours to get there. We will most likely be renting a van for the event. 07:00 Departure from Austin 10:00 Arrive at the Texas Renaissance Festival 12:30 Gather for Parade 13:00 Parade 18:00 Either Depart for Dinner and Hotel or depart for Austin Attire If you have a soldier's uniform, wear that.
