Ripping good Timeline style event, with periods ranging from Roman to modern. Full amenities, no sight fee, public demo & full camp. Arrival for camp set-up is Friday afternoon.

Marietta Mansion was the plantation home of Gabriel Duvall, Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1811-34. The mansion is of Federal-style brick, having been reconstructed and furnished for the early 1800's. It is situated on 25 acres of lawn, fields, and wooded areas, with an additional 20 acres next to the mansion that will probably become state property as well. The site is owned by the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, being operated by its History Division, and is used by the Prince George's County Historical Society as its headquarters. For more information, please see http://www.pghistory.org/MariettaMansion.html.

Site Facilities
Firewood, bedding straw, drinking water and Port-a-Pots are provided by site, and no site fee. No fire pits are to be dug; instead fires are to be placed directly on grass (but watched/maintained.) Open to public Sat./Sun. 11am-5 p.m.

Tacticals and demos occur on large lawn area behind the mansion, with the public watching from the rolling shaded hillside. A Sutler's Row will be established next to the entrance to the site and near the public. Encampment area will be in a lower field area separated from the demonstration area by a small woods line.

Orders of the Daye
Full camp (foodplan for those units that desire). However, the site will provide a full Saturday evening meal (last year was Bar-B-Que) for $2 per person (payable on Saturday).

Arrive 3 p.m. Friday for camp set-up (if impossible, then no later than 8 a.m. Sat.) Registering and signing of liability form for the muster will be the responsibility of Muster Master, and will occur after Saturday reveille. All powder must be secured in a safe storage container (i.e., company ammo chest, etc.), and the site will have a safety inspection to confirm this

Each time period will present a tactical or demonstration once each day for the public. The 17th-century period, due to expected numbers, will give a full drill, firing, and battle demonstration, as we have done at other musters.

At the end of each day there will be a Pass & Review of units and periods. Sunday morning will be the usual multi-period tactical before the site opens to public. This is where many different periods combine on the same side in a non-scripted tactical; always a lot of fun!

DIRECTIONS
(Highly recommended to also use a road map)

From North, central Maryland or Northern Virginia areas: Take your best route to the I-495/I-95 junction of Capital Beltway near Washington, D.C. Continue to take exit for I-95 South (Richmond, VA.). Go about 3 miles and take Exit 23 (Rte. 201/Kenilworth Ave.); bear right on exit ramp towards Bladensburg. Stay in right lane as you get off exit ramp and take 1st exit for Rte. 193 (Greenbelt Rd.). Turn left at top of exit ramp at light (onto Rte. 193). Go about 6 miles (thru lots of lights) and then look for a Fire Station on left (also there will be a large brown sign for Marietta Mansion in median strip). After Fire Station go about 100 yards more and turn right at the next street (Bell Station Rd.), where there should also be a large white sign about muster. Then turn left at 1st driveway, which leads into mansion parking lot. Follow directions below for 'Upon Arrival'.

Take I-95 North into Maryland to exit 20A (Rte. 450/Annapolis Rd.). Then go about 4 miles to Rte. 193 and turn left at light. About 100 yards more there should be a large brown sign for Marietta Mansion in median strip, then turn left at next road (Bell Station Rd.), where there should also be a large white sign about muster. Turn left at 1st driveway, which leads into mansion parking lot. Follow directions below for 'Upon Arrival'.

Upon Arrival: From parking lot follow gravel road that leads from left side of parking lot and through woods to encampment area. ECWSA camp will be located on left just past halfway down field as you enter (near small copse of trees). You may unload at camp, then park at Community Center across from Fire Station; shuttles run to/from camp.
