Are you a Royalist or a Parliamentarian?
Being another jovial test for yourself and others
to find which cause to fight for

This is another short quiz to take, or to give to those who you are unsure of their loyalties, to find out which side one is really on, and whose cause you would have fought for - The King's or Parliament's. Basically, this jovial and easy quiz will let you know, plus give you a laugh or two.

  1. DO YOU SUPPORT?
    a) The King.
    b) Parliament.
    c) The Chicago Bears.

  2. AT BATTLES, DO YOU USUALLY?
    a) Lose.
    b) Win.
    c) Change sides as the fancy takes you.

  3. IS YOU HAIR?
    a) Long, curly and beribboned.
    b) Cropped off at the collar or severely short and straight.
    c) Don't know, I wear a hat.

  4. WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A?
    a) Rather flamboyant dresser.
    b) Sensibly attired honest man/woman.
    c) Miserable old sod.

  5. HAVE YOU EVER?
    a) Hidden in an oak tree.
    b) Razed Basing House to the ground.
    c) Had warts.

  6. YOU ARE STANDING IN A CROWDED MARKET PLACE, WHEN A VOICE SHOUTS "NO POPERY!" DO YOU?
    a) Destroy every dried flower in sight.
    b) Burn every Catholic in sight.
    c) Flee, taking your church silver with you.

  7. A TROOP OF HORSE, DRESSED IN ELABORATE FINERY, ONE OF WHOM IS WEARING AN ESPECIALLY ELABORATE WHITE DOUBLET, ARE RIDING TOWARDS YOU. AS THEY APPROACH, ONE OF THEM CRIES "GOD SAVE THE KING!" DO YOU?
    a) Drop to your knees, throw your hat aloft and shout "Huzzah!"

    a) A force to be reckoned with.

    c) Somewhere to chop up muskets.

  11. STAINED GLASS WINDOWS ARE?
    a) Works of art and piety to be revered and respected.
    b) Target practice.
    c) Draft excluders.

  12. YOU ARE TRAVELLING ALONG A REMOTE ROAD WHEN YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF WOMEN SCREAMING AND SHOUTING. AS YOU ROUND THE BEND THERE IS BEFORE YOU A COACH CONTAINING THREE WELL DRESSED LADIES AND THEIR LUGGAGE UNDER ATTACK FROM SIX ARMED RUFFIANS. THE COACHMAN IS WOUNDED AND OF NO USE IN A FIGHT. DO YOU?
    a) Draw you sword and gallop to the rescue and almost certain death.
    b) Try to prevent a fight by use of reasonable and rational argument, appealing to their better natures.
    c) Wait behind a tree in case anything good is left after the ruffians have gone.



Scoring

If you chose 'a' in most cases, you are likely to be a Royalist.
If you chose 'b' in most cases, you are likely to be a Parliamentarian.
If you chose 'c' in most cases, you are likely to survive the war and retire in style.
